The Craftsman and the Carpenter

Tickety tock, tickety tock
Unfatigued, relentless
The majestic, grand Father's clock
Whose mechanics are concealed
By craftsmanship divine
And only to be revealed
At the end of all of time

Until that fateful day
Actions will fill the void
Our deeds, the words we say
As time passes, like a dream
And our memories fade away
Take heed, for all's recorded
And for every sin we'll pay

'Tis a work of great precision
By countenance unknown
Yet each and every decision
Is ours, and ours alone
Time's a gift for one and all
Or so it would've been
Were it not for mankind's Fall

When your time is over
And you stand before the throne
To account for each and every sin
For which you can't atone
And cowed by His majestic voice
Fear not, you aren't alone
My dear friend, rejoice!

For the Craftsman had a Son
A carpenter by trade
And He has paid the price
Through the sacrifice He made
Nailed to a wooden cross
He died in agony
Though his death was not in vain
...for He freed humanity
